Pevensey Castle
The gatehouse tower of Pevensey Castle
Pevensey Castle is a Norman structure associated closely with William the Conqueror, and sits within a pre-existing Roman fort just north of Pevensey Bay.
I had to wait until late evening for the light to be striking the gatehouse tower at such an angle as to reveal the structure and texture of the wall.
