Soft evening light gives a glow to barley growing on the South Downs in Sussex

Diffuse light brings out the rich colours of foliage and vegetation, and on this evening, as the sun sank into the layer of haze (pollution ?) that invariably forms at this time of year, the barley appeared to begin to glow.
