Elgol pebbles

The pebble strewn rock platform at Elgol

I'd first visited Elgol 20 years previously to get a boat across Loch Scavaig to climb a section of the Cuillin ridge. On this occasion I left the climbing rope behind and came armed only with camera and tripod. I haven't been back to Elgol for nearly 20 years but I hesitate to imagine how much busier it is now.

After taking this image I wandered along the foreshore past the small cliff where I spent a captivating couple of hours watching the dolphins in Loch Scavaig.
