Sky Loch

A view of Loch Duich from the hillside above Eilean Donan castle

This image was taken on a pleasantly warm autumn afternoon whilst scrambling around the hillside above Eilean Donan castle seeking out an unusual viewpoint. I was rewarded with this interesting angle and a near perfect reflection of the sky in the waters of the junction of Loch Duich and Loch Alsh at low tide.

I've been tempted to walk out from Ardelve point opposite the castle at Dornie onto the island, Eilean Tioram, at low tide to photograph the castle but as yet it is still on my 'todo' list.
